According to Fintan's posting 30/10/10 17:27:00 on the previous thread, the 26 residents are to be vulnerable young people who have been living in the London Borough of Hounslow. If our local council is contributing to the cost of these youngsters' accommodation, our local councillors must be able to shed a bit more light on the entire project. On the other hand it may not have anything to do with LBH at all, except I presume they'd have had to give planning permission for such a large development. I would query whether it's an ideal site right on that very busy corner of the A4/Sutton Court Road. The existing St Margaret's House is a down-at-heel, depressing looking place and needs improving but not sure this new building is the answer. |
