Thinking it through Chiswick Mall is a bit of an untidy mess, all different ages, styles and heights with a lot of wasted land used as gardens, and the road floods!. Perhaps a London Borough of Wandsworth approach would work? Garish flats, say 10 to 12 storey with a new river wall to stop the hoi polloi promenading along the front. The flats would have large balconies and fetch good prices. Compulsory Purchase Orders would do the trick and any profit would help keep the Council Tax down. Come to think of it LBHF are planning on doing a similar job to the Queen Caroline estate, adjacent to Hammersmith Bridge.......... |
