Thanks for your replies. I too assume there is no issue about leaving your car in the same place for more than 72 hours as in that case anyone who went on holiday for a few days or more would come back to find their car had been removed. We will definitely take a camera tomorrow and do as suggested. I am not sure yet whether one or more PCNs had been issued as we only discovered the car was gone today. It is possible that a PCN was issued on several consecutive days and we didn't see them - the car was parked some way away from the house as it is not always easy to find a space nearby, and there would be no reason to go and check on it every day. It does seem rather excessive to issue endless tickets to a car and then remove it when the one 'crime' is that a piece of plastic has become unstuck from the windscreen - if indeed that is the case. Does anyonne know if the traffic wardens have access to the database on their gadgets they carry with them? |
