Jim, I fully sympathise with you. And in summer the flights continue into the small hours - I've often listened to them well after 1 am. And I've often counted our blessings round here that the noise is at least bearable at present, unlike that in many other parts of West London. I've been a member of Hacan for some years, taken part in a health study into the impact of noise conducted by Imperial College, delivered leaflets etc. etc. But we never seem to get anywhere! And noise is only one part of the problem! I just can't believe that expanding Heathrow can be thought to be a viable proposition. And there is a sense of being disempowered. |
