It has been known for some time that the online delivery companies are a push factor in illegal immigration. I don't blame the drivers they are being exploited by both the operators and gangmasters who take a cut of their pay. Government action on this could be problematic. Canada has found itself on the end of potentially higher tariffs after attempting to introduce a digital service tax. American companies know that if they sweeten the deal for Trump he will stop other countries legislating against their interests. Most of the delivery companies are American owned. In the absence of government action, the only way to stop what is happening is not to order through these companies. |
