Just to satisfy Paul Fisher I feel I should point out that if your hedge happens to be bay there was a recent post on here from someone wanting an awful lot of bay leaves. Sharing a collection with a friend or neighbour or sharing a trip to the recycling centre with a friend or neighbour is an obvious way of reducing the cost. You could also compost a lot of garden waste and adding compost to your garden soil helps to improve it and makes it more accepting of the sudden heavy rainfall that we are now getting with climate change reducing flooding and runoff.  There are ways to find reduced cost compost bins for sale and they are sometimes found free on www.trashnothing.com and other www.freecycle.org websites. There are other legal ways to dispose of your garden waste. Gardening businesses will be subject to commercial waste fees.
