“I’d love to know what your reaction would be if in 15 years' time Labour were still blaming Sunak for the expenditure incurred in ameliorating the effects of the pandemic (let's quietly forget the black hole opened up by Truss and Kwarteng's profligacy!).” Well, I would think that in 15 years time Labour WILL still be blaming Sunak, and so they should! Sunak’s furlough programme was knee jerk and poorly managed. It was effectively a free for all. Thousands of very wealthy corporations cashed in and so did many failing companies which were badly managed and on the brink of bankruptcy. Sunak just handed out money to the unscrupulous. And thousands of wealthy company directors cashed in. Sunak is 100% responsible for this waste. As for the black hole left by Truss and Kwarteng, let’s not every forget what they did because it’s unforgivable. The fact that they didn’t even have the moral integrity to apologise, makes it a trillion times worse. They have ruined peoples lives; some of whom may never recover financially. May Truss and Kwarteng rot in Hell! As for manners maketh man; this is the misunderstood motto of Rishi Sunak’s old school and I certainly don’t subscribe to the 15th century works of William Horman. Besides it being sexist and having no place in the 21st century. |
