| This all comes down to money, parks are seen so often in this day and age as income generators. We have seen though throughout this pandemic how valued and needed parks and open spaces are, especially with the explosion in flatted developments.The maintenance and provision of parks should be a mandatory duty on local authorities and backed up with financial provision from the government. Until and unless that happens our parks will just become another cash cow like parking has. |
