| Thank you all for your kind posts. And let me assure you that I have contacted several councillors. With one shining exception, there was no support from the rest of them. I was not asking the park to carry out any work on the green, merely to let us have access to try to get our joints back working again! The green is probably no longer fit for anything more than some gentle roll-ups, which was all I was asking that we should be allowed to do. To say that that particular small patch of the park can't be used because there's no staff to ensure it's safe is beyond ludicrous. It's just the lamest of excuses because there is no good reason to deny our request.No staff ever checked it before (not that it needed it anyway) and it's probably the flattest piece of grass in the park! |
