Many of us in Northern Europe could benefit from Vitamin D Supplements (the ones from shining a light of animal wool, not fish oil), the lack of which has been implicated in many serious illnesses, and in women, approaching or after menopause, osteopenia or osteoporosis. We simply don't get enough from our food or from sunlight for a lot of the year (especially in Scotland) to provide our bodies what they need. Even if vegans/vegetarians do have to take a few tablets, it is surely worth it to spare animals the horror of the abbattoir. Have you seen the videos of pigs hardly able to stand, they are shaking so much from fear at what they know is about to happen? Pigs are at least as intelligent as dogs. They know the horror that awaits. Or do you really not give a stuff? |
