| Evenings are when people want to relax which is why supermarkets are quite in the evenings and busy at weekends. I am afraid that does not work entirely. The whole issue with W4 is lack off. If you plant a big well known store in the middle people will visit and the independents will gain footfall and business. If a young boy or girl wants to go and buy some Nike trainers for instance (other brands are available) they or along with parents have the best option. Shop online or visit westfield and the parent then gets to do some other shopping while at westfield. You cant even purchase trainers in W4 except for a few in the outdoor living type shops. You just cant tell people to shop more locally when apart from necessities items are not available to purchase. That is bound to move footfall away to other places I talk from experience with three kids,very little shopping is done in W4 except for food or eating and drinking be it restaurant or pub. |
