Of course it's obvious, people voted for their local man who they respect, appreciate and trust, nothing at all to do with endorsing Corbyn whatsoever.
Look at Ealing, a dodgy Labour win at local level when nationally they got trounced. Although I doubt the Ealing result was anything to do with respect or trust!
Maybe appreciation of maintaining your Benefits came into it, but seems LBE is shafting on this too now.
