But we already do spend billions on the old and poor in this country and what we spend on refugees is a tiny tiny amount relatively speaking. The bill for the care of the elderly is going to go up and up one of the ways that it will be paid for is the tax contribution that refugees will ultimately make. Try to pretend that there is a simple choice between funds for the elderly and funds for refugees is manipulative and wrong. |
