Frankly I am pleased the thing collapsed as I hope it will act as a warning to other selfish, stupid,sods that think it's OK to make nearby residents life hell for months so that they can have a media, gym or pool in their egotistical existence. I am sorry for the traffic nightmare but if I had my way I would send a team in to make it safe for passing traffic pronto and bill the owner whatever it cost. As an estate agent for many years I have seen lots of basement jobs but rarely see one's that add anything much to the value or function of the home. So many times I see the media/ gym room end up unused except for storage. In short a waste of time and money and very annoying to neighbours.
