Age Concern seems to have been re-branded as Age UK, although some local branches still use the old name and have their own websites.

Is this the website you are thinking of ?

As far as I can see from going through the donations process on their website, they have not contracted out the process to another organisation, such as the Charities Aid Foundation, which would charge a fee for the service. This is slightly surprising as for a charity to run its own direct debit scheme would involve a large turnover, but perhaps Age UK are large enough to do so.

So probably the only third-party shaving off a share will be their bankers/card providers.

The only way to make sure a charity gets 100% of your donation is to pay them cash -  and even then, their bank will charge if they bank it.

However, all charities have administrative costs, so it will never be that 100% of your donation will go to the needy.
