Last month international explorer Paul Rose and campaign partners the Port of London, Tideway and Thames21 called on Londoners to ‘do the right’ thing and make sure their rubbish goes in the bin, not in the River Thames. The campaign aims to raise awareness of the harm that rubbish in the Thames is doing to wildlife and why it’s important to stop it getting there in the first place. To find out more about the campaign, click http://pla.co.uk/cleaner-thames-about Wildlife suffers greatly because of our carelessness in disposing of rubbish. We have a river of rubbish in our midst and urgently need more volunteers to help clear it up: http://www.thames21.org.uk/get-involved-2/ |
