Topic: Tesco and "Best Before" date

There was no "sell by" date - only a best before on the package. So that wasn't a choice for me.  That is really quite confusing. I do use my nose and eyes but they are not always reliable especially when stuff is packed in thick plastic.

When it comes to lettuce which is perishable, I think Tesco should be selling fresh produce. Sorry but I don't want to buy old limp discoloured lettuce.  Sometimes things have to be removed from the shelves even if Hugh wouldn't approve.
