There was no "sell by" date - only a best before on the package. So that wasn't a choice for me. That is really quite confusing. I do use my nose and eyes but they are not always reliable especially when stuff is packed in thick plastic. When it comes to lettuce which is perishable, I think Tesco should be selling fresh produce. Sorry but I don't want to buy old limp discoloured lettuce. Sometimes things have to be removed from the shelves even if Hugh wouldn't approve. |
