We ourselves have no problem at all when we go shopping as we invariably always have a reusable bag or two in the car - but then I have been a considerable pain about this for years... as forum readers will well know. I stuck a sticker with a drawing of a reusable bag on the inside of the front door years ago saying "Take your own bag shopping" with a bag hanging in the hall - to try and remind those who are "just popping out to the shops". I tend to always have a bag over my shoulder and use a bag within a bag. We aren't perfect but we have reduced the use considerably. If we forget and can't carry what we want without one we just have to kick ourselves and pay up. However there should be a way for the delivery companies to find a way to use fewer. They really ought to have improved by now - haven't they? Or is the problem those few loud and difficult customers who think they have a right to everything and take responsibility for nothing that they are trying not to upset? |
