I never use supermarket carrier bags, as I always take my own hessian bags. However, I have just got an email from Ocado saying they are about to start charging 5p per bag used to pack my shopping. I have no control over the number of bags they use, as sometimes a plastic bag has only one item in it! I always return the bags to the next delivery driver for recycling and apparently they are going to refund me 5p for each bag returned. How is this going to work? Will the driver have to count them (I tie them all into one bag, which would need to be opened), or will he mark the bags as mine and the depot will count them and refund me the money? |
