Foxtons have been doing this for years. To get sellers on to their books they value a property at a high value before they have a chance to confirm length of lease, service charges and/or any other information that any reasonable purchaser might need. Before deciding that I would never use Foxtons to buy a property I used to ask "how can you value the property if you don't know the length of the lease?" I never got a reasonable response. |
