Judith appears to be very sanguine about this but I'm sure it is an incredibly stressful experience. As the system seems to be designed to make this sort of thing happen to people and then put people into a Kafkaesque nightmare getting it sorted out it is almost inevitable that in the not too distant future someone whose finances and mental state are both fragile will be driven to take their life. Would corporate manslaughter charges be appropriate were this to happen? |
