I made a stupid mess of my online application last time - having previously done it without a problem. There seems to be no confirmation of whether or not your application has been successful. It is nice to get a confirmation email. I then phoned and had to leave a message. Yes, I THINK they did phone back quickly but the phone didn't ring long enough for me to get to it and they didn't leave a message to say they'd phoned. Not knowing is stressful and so I phoned again a day later. They were very helpful when they did phone me back and I got the problem sorted but I agree this isn't a good enough service and would not work in the private sector. If they could see outside the box and cared they would realise that it is damaging for their reputation and working relationship with their customers. |
