"I wonder is this Central Office directed allocation of resources" A few weeks back we noticed he'd mostly been sent to no-hoper seats up north and around London - Acton was a notable exception to that pattern really, and look what happened. I suspect CCHQ know that if he turns up no one talks about the actual candidate any more, and have kept him away from the real action until it became obvious that the election comes down to a few knife edge 35/34 battles. If B&I really is a marginal, which I doubt, the votes to change aren't in coffee shops in Devonshire Road. He's also skipped hustings in his own seat, once being replaced by a cardboard cutout, which I'd like to see take over as Mayor, too, please. |
