All good comments so far and without stating the obvious you need to look closely at your tenancy agreement since the devil is in the detail. Generally there is a formula provision for any CPI increase and landlords usually draft a reiview as being upwards only. Lease are great and also have an FAQ section but as far as I am aware they mainly deal with lease enfranchisement and lease extensions.
