I certainly don't condone this but I saw a builder once hit a meter with a hammer breaking it. The gas board were around in a flash apparently relocated it as part of there service. The owner wasn't charged. I think that this is very bad form. They had to replace the meter and all as they didn't want to lose the revenue apparently. I certainly would pay £1500 rather than have the method freely used to save £1500. |
