I moved from Vodafone to O2 as I bought a phone in the Vodafone shop - had always been with them - then found Carphone Warehouse were doing a much better deal with a tablet thrown in and was even cheaper if I moved to 02 and after the unpleasantness I had had with Vodafone over getting out of the contract even though I was within the cooling off period I decided to move -  so after a huge amount of time on the phone to Vodafone and then waiting around in the shop got out of the contract.  Thought the coverage would be much worse with 02 but haven't had many problems at all.
