This seems to have become standard operating practice when the District line is having problems. It used to be that you would be standing on a massively overcrowded platform and an almost empty Piccadilly line train would be held at the station without opening its doors. If you informed station staff they would contact higher ups and eventually the Piccadilly line trains would start serving the station. Recently I have noticed that this seems to happen more often even if the problems are relatively minor. |
