Well yes, possibly if halal killing is done in the optimum way that MAY not happen - so why are we worrying about all those beheaded by ISIS? A quick clean cut to the throat, they didn't suffer..hmm. The trauma of knowing your throat is about to be cut I would think is pretty much the same whether you are an animal or a human. I would make a different choice from you - I was recently offered an investigative procedure without anaesthetic where they warned me the pain might be so considerable they may have to stop - or one with. Guess which I chose? Regarding your last point I agree with you and that is one of the many, many things that need to be changed. My optimistic side says that in 20-30 years hence our future generations will look at the treatment we mete out to animals today, in the UK alone never mind the horirfically cruel treatment they get - actual torture - in places like China and Thailand - and say our generation were barbarians. |
