I took a brief online look some time ago at the schools in an area that was being complained about. I noticed that one of them was not part of the Eco Schools programme. I wondered whether a lack of awareness of taking responsibility for waste led to the children/parents/carers using that street creating a greater litter problem. It is not good enough to just learn something that is part of the curriculum but it also needs to be put into practice. Have you looked into this? |
