The government seems blind to the fact that things are different in London.  I heard this morning about a survey saying that just about everything is more expensive in London, and while some people earn more than people in other parts of the country, a lot of people don't.  And regarding property, as I understand it everyone wanting to buy a house over £925,000 willNOW  have to pay 10% stamp duty.  For many people who bought a fairly modest (ie 3 bedroom terraced house) in London some years ago for a quarter of that, their house will now be worth over that. Is it fair?
