No, because I can't see a solution to this, except to pay people according to their need. If someone earns 24000 a year they pay tax. If they have kids they get benefits. To produce a system where people's tax goes down according to how many kids they have requires more workers monitoring incomes than have a tax taking person and a benefits paying person. Of course you could just say 'no benefits', fine, say it, but explain what you will do about the people and kids that then don't have enough money to eat or have a roof over their heads. |
