It is a dilemma. Generally, the Cutters, etc. are salaried and the lassies who wash and sweep rely on tips over the minimum wage. Yesterday my hair was cut and the lassie who washed was asked to dry (she is good at it so no complaints there). When I paid, I tipped her for a good job. I do believe in that particular salon all the tips go into one box for sharing. |
