'Yet another example of Hounslow not giving a s*it.They will not lower themselves to speak to you.' As the original poster says someone from Hounslow Council paid a site visit as a result of the complaints. I don't think there is anything wrong with the signage at the site other than the lights not working. Approaching from CHR there is a well placed sign and coming from the north there are two signs as well as well placed speed bumps. The sensible thing to do would be to ask about a zebra crossing. It may be that this has been considered and ruled out perhaps because of the bus turn near by or the pavement being too narrow opposite the school. If you do want to start a campaign don't bother ringing up and speaking to voice mail. Writing a letter would be a much more effective way of kicking things off and if you keep the tone measured rather than adopting the line that 'someone will die unless something is done ' you will probably find your efforts are taken more seriously. |
