| Sorry James but there is a lot of this. Over the past two or three years TFL has spent a lot of time and money 'improving' - Boris' words - the cycle 'track' along the A4 between Chiswick Roundabout and Gillette corner. During that process I should think nearly a mile of what was segregated cycle path has been changed to 'shared use'. Asking various cyclists after the work was finished I didn't find anyone who could identify what was actually improved - except one lady who thought it was a bit smoother. Not one junction was improved. IMO TFL should have been slammed for the waste of money. Similarly the footpath alongside the A4 in Chiswick and A316 has been designated as shared use without a marked path for cyclists. |
