| What makes no sense is why the proposal specifies that the project from junction 2 to the airport. The elevated section is just as narrow from Chiswick Roundabout to junction 2 and not widening it would just move the bottleneck. This smells like something that is being considered primarily because the Government will be looking to infrastructure spending to boost economic growth in the event of a hard Brexit. With our existing level of borrowing and possible decline in credit rating, if it was to proceed, it would almost definitely have to be a toll road. |
