'The thing with tunnelling is that both areas fall within the probable flooding zone and given the way our climate is changing and ice caps melting, the probability must be taken into account' This doesn't seem likely. The Thames Barrier protects London and there are already plenty of tunnels in the area that used to be flood plain. If the Thames Barrier stopped functioning we would have more to worry about than a few flooded tunnels. |
