During the summer the Lyric has a lot of kids shows running so we see all manner of discipline - usually lack thereof.
One day there were three generations sitting at a table. The young mother had a friend or relative, both with their respective children. And then there was the grandmother, I'd say mid 70s. The children were left alone to run around, scream, shout, climb, you name it. I watched for a while to see if any of the adults would do anything. They did not. I then simply boomed across the space "absolutely not." The grandmother looked at me and mouthed "thank you."
