More unadulterated nonsense from Philippa Bond.

Overall Penetration: Data suggests around 95% of Brits own a smartphone as of 2025. Other 2023 reports put the figure at 91-94%.

Age Breakdown: While adoption is nearly universal among younger, tech-savvy users, 93% of those aged 55–64 in the UK used a smartphone in 2024. Among those aged 75 and over, the figure drops to around 72%.

Children's Ownership: Smartphone ownership is high even in young children; 74% of 5–10 year-olds who have a phone use a smartphone, increasing to 93% by ages 16–17.
