| Reminds me of the infighting that marked the Wilson cabinet in the 1960s. I guess that was when taxes went up and inflation took hold. Remember, "the pound in your pocket has not been devalued". I think it was the Frost Report special at Christmas 1967 that said "On December 31st Harold Wilson says 'Its not the end of the world' On January 1st - the end of the world". |
