Agreed although I think there are constraints on the range of services that can be offered in these locations. The problem for Chiswick is that Sainsbury's doesn't host post office counters (unlike Tesco and Aldi) and the other obvious location TG Jones (WH Smith) isn't likely to for the time being. The new owner is probably going to have a look at individual store operations before deciding which to keep.

A new supermarket in the existing Post Office side isn't viable because the building is likely to be redeveloped and nobody is going to spend lots of money fitting it out if it might close within a couple of years.
