| He has already had a partial response - see his first paragraph. He wants more - I get that. Your reply about photo opportunities though is quite ridiculous. It IS important for MPs to take part in many of the public events that they do take part in and to be seen to be supporting their constituents. If you followed anything that Andy Slaughter is interested in you would find that fires in tall buildings is definitely one - as should many other MPs be interested in as there are still masses of high rise buildings which have still not been remediated following Grenfell. That has shown how important it is to not just dispose with regulations in the search for a much cheaper state and lower taxes - the gap between rich and poor has grown. The legacy of Grenfell and the previous deaths in building fires will live on. An MP's job isn't just sitting in debates or answering letters and there are usually other avenues which can be investigated to network and increase traction in any problem or project. |
