Hi Anita.  I don’t know about every App but UberEats & Just Eat confirm the address of the eatery and you can track the delivery live from when they are preparing your order and when the driver is allocated you watch him leave the premises and track him every second of his journey to your door. You are also provided with his/her name and vehicle registration number.  I have checked the Deliveroo App and I agree with you that they don’t appear to provide the eatery address so you are right, I think, that the food may indeed be coming from a Dark Kitchen. I have never ordered from them and am not fully familiar with the App so I may be wrong.

The discounts (sometimes up to 40%) are agreed between certain restaurants and the Delivery provider from time to time, presumably when a restaurant is trying to gain more business at certain times of the month. If your regular restaurant is doing well, and is always busy, it’s unlikely they will subscribe to the ‘discount’ offers. I am also not sure if the discount is shared between the Delivery Company and the Eatery. We are  pescatarian and I find that the promotional discounts are mainly applied to burger joints, Chinese and Indian places.
