When i moved from gritty Clapham South to leafy Chiswick in the the late eighties on one of my first saturday shopping trips down TGT and chatting with the original Greengroceers , our gentle chat was disturbed by three chaps going at each other with hammers on the opposite of the road. After five minutes or so of huffing and puffing one got in his car and drove off and the other two wandered up top the high road holding their bloody heads. Chiswick has always had the opportunity to slip-up on the decorum stakes., Having said that the ratio of (barely) human vermin thats around now compared to 30 years ago ... |
