| Back to hire bikes for a moment. My nearest approved trial e-bike 'dump' is around half a mile away and if I hire one I am not able to legally take it outside the borough boundary. If I wanted something I could ride for a greater distance then the nearest docking station is two bus rides or a bus at a tube ride away. At that point, you stay on the bus or tube negating the need for the bike. The hire hikes are good for Central London but utterly useless for commuting. |
