My point being Russell, that other than a consultation now and given the trial has already happened, what can achieve your aim of reversing it now other than consulting with the council. Or going back in time and having it somehow stopped before it started. As for A316 yesterday gridlock because of kew bridge closure was (and will be today) the culprit. I very much doubt having traffic also using Hartington Lane would have touched the edges of this extra traffic. I'm sure it may have been a benefit for some locals. In extreme circumstances like the TGT sink hole and Kew bride closure, it would of course be beneficial if the council were able to think outside of the box and open up the likes of Fishers Lane and Hartington Rd temporarily at least try and take some pressure off. I don't think it would do much, but it would be common sense. As for Madeline, thanks for resorting to abuse towards anyone who may have a different view to yourself. Nice. For what it's worth I don't have a strong view on the Hartington 'closure', if anything I'm marginally against it. But I don't think the council has many other options to reverse it, rather than after some sort of democratic purpose. Remember, a lot of those anti the closure have complained that the initial closure was done with out such a 'fair' approach. |
