| I think you're missing the point. They were not using a relay device here to test it like the thieves do. In the article their home-made box leaked the signal as they could still open the car when close. Therefore there's a risk a relay booster (one guys stands by your front door with the receiver, one next the the car with the transmitter) can pick up the signal needed to unlock it. Online you'll see CCTV footage of pairs of guys doing this. |
