Hi Lorna, I think you mean Marmox. Good product (I tend to use a similar prouct called Wedi Board) for small areas. It is not the same as Ditra matting which provides a movement protection between the sub floor and the tile (as there is a physical separation mechanism in the ditra matting) and the Marmox is adhered to the substrate and then the tile adhered to the board. In small areas I would not have a problem - and with UF heating I would use a flexible adhesive - if I was using a large vulnerable tile then I would also use devi mat as electrical UF heating causes expansion and contraction and therefore potential cracking on certain types of tile/stone. this type of board is good for the make up - (with approprate joint tapes and proper sub floor preparation) of wetrooms - walls/floors joints in wetrooms are always the vulnerability and these systems are a must - never try to get away with just WBP ply, as it reacts badly to water (even if it is marine grade!).
