| Followed the threads posted and, gleaning the information at face value, the Stoop being shared seems the most likely solution. Harlequins percentage revenue from any hire would be greater than BFC’s. The playing surface would need additional work between Rugby and Football games, with the nature of Rugby having areas of the pitch “cutting up” and requiring repair. Having experience of maintaining both Rugby and Football pitches over a number of years the “egg shaped” ball game doesn’t need the billiard table level of Premier League Football. If it does go to the GTech and BFC have a dip in performance due to wear and tear of a good Football pitch the additional income would not be viewed as such. Fair play rules would not be greatly affected even if the income was £3m when over £100m is generated for being a member of the EPL. |
