My father was on Market Garden,Epsom and Goodwood. He was one of the 'mopper uppers' who finished off or took prisoner those German soldiers left behind after the Allied advance. Many of the maps were wrong, the radios ineffective and supplies were delivered late or to the wrong destination. They were all good plans for ops.but poor legistics were a major problem. |
