Nice try to divert attention from Israel's crimes in Gaza and the West Bank! It's a variant on your usual whataboutery. I have two observations to make: first, it's much more than an operation against the Hamas terrorists - it's a war against innocent civilians. Even if we were to disregard the civilian casualties as unfortunate and unavoidable collateral damage, how is the imposition of mass starvation a legitimate part of the operation? Second, the West has generally called out Putin's 'special operation' as a crime against humanity, and done its best to assist Ukraine, but by contrast both Biden and Sunak refuse to recognise the unconscionable crimes of the Israeli government, which Biden continues actively to support. It's right that we criticise Netanyahu more than Putin, given the complicity of our government in Netanyahu's crimes. |
